Farm 2 Fork

Amy and Beth

Amy Hertzog and Beth Paine wanted to build something that other families like theirs could enjoy!

The Hertzogs

We are Amy and Paul Hertzog, along with our three kids Felicity, Jordan, and Olivia. We are a first-generational farming family and so far we could not be more excited to see what we have in store for us in the years to come. Amy grew up in a small town in the Pacific Northwest and her paternal grandparent’s farm is still in the family today. Although they were a crop farming family there were still a few milking cows and barn cats around. On the weekends and during the summers she would live in the garden with her grandpa and sneak baby carrots that were growing in the garden. Her grandma shared the love of baking and canning and what it was to be a farmer's wife, she was always in the kitchen. Amy's Aunt Diane was a 4H leader in the small community of St. John, WA and she introduced Amy to the world of showmanship.

Although she never showed up at the professional level she did participate in 4H and showed up at the city fair. She has sold several stears in her younger years but never taken them to the level that we are as a family today. Fast forwarding to the present, she had a desire to own land and to be able to drive down a long driveway to her house. The boys, as she will commonly refer to her husband and son, made her dream become a reality. We now live on 28 acres in Van Alstyne, Texas and we love it. Alongside the main homestead lives our pack of German shepherds that get to roam pretty freely on the property. After settling down and getting used to the new surroundings, we decided that we needed to start making use of the land that we lived in. So we pulled out our thinking caps and figured it out. Being entrepreneurs for twenty-plus years, there is never a dull moment around our home. Amy and Beth decided to build something together and that is where Farm 2 fork was born.

The Paines

We are Dustin and Beth Paine, along with our five kids Taryn, Kaden, Lexie, Madyson, and Gavyn. Dustin’s grandparents had a farm in Kansas that they have passed down through the years. In the summers Dustin would go to the farm to work with his cousins for the summer and grew to love the ranching life. In 2015 he bought land in Texas to start his family ranch and in 2021 that dream came to fruition when Restoration Ranch was founded. With 5 kids and multiple businesses, we wanted to have a better supply of food for our family. That’s when Amy and Beth decided to build Farm 2 Fork. We are so excited to be able to offer the level and standard of meat our families get to enjoy to other families.

Our family works together to take care of and name all of these cows to give them a true home with our family while they are with us. Along with cows, our days are spent watching soccer, track, theater, and band competitions.
